Another Greek Amphora discovery, assisted by high quality multibeam mapping. We are constantly looking for new ways to collect and process data to push the ability to identify potential targets.
Using cutting edge tools, Highland Geo Solutions assists RPM Nautical Foundation in the planning, collection, processing and presentation of their marine mapping data. We have been involved since 2006, working in Albania, Greece, Montenegro, Sicily, and Turkey.
Greek Amphora found in 2008 is retrieved by ROV. Multibeam sonar data is used to identify potential targets on the seafloor. The data is also used to create 3D maps of the seafloor to help navigate the ROV and zero in on the artefacts.
