  • Lost Pillage

    Believed to be building stones scavanged from a Greek temple by Romann colonists now rest in the shallows off the Crotone coast. This image collected by a Reson 8125 shows what appears to be hand cut limestone.

  • Highland Geo Solutions

    Using cutting edge tools, Highland Geo Solutions assists RPM Nautical Foundation in the planning, collection, processing and presentation of their marine mapping data. We have been involved since 2006, working in Albania, Greece, Montenegro, Sicily, and Turkey.  

  • Greek Amphora found in 2008 is retrieved by ROV. Multibeam sonar data is used to identify potential targets on the seafloor. The data is also used to create 3D maps of the seafloor to help navigate the ROV and zero in on the artefacts. 

  • Bathymetry exploration

    Albanian bathymetry collect in 2007 and 2008 merged seamlessly to create seafloor map. Bathymetric data used to identify potential archaeological artefacts on the seabed. (courtesy RPM Nautical Foundation).
